When you join the Dental Practice we work with you to establish the dental journey that you deserve. We’re here to ensure you and your smile are taken care of for the duration of your time with us. After your initial consultation we’ll tailor a plan to help you achieve your smile aspirations and needs.
During your inital appointment your dentist will thoroughly examine your teeth and gums and possibly take some X-rays. If you are nervous about visiting a dentist, we will put your mind at rest as we are very patient and understand that some people are apprehensive.
Following examination, your dentist will explain in full what (if any) treatment is needed and advise on your dental treatment plan, including any fees.
Patient Care
Our Patient Care Consultant offers patients a Oral Healthcare Assessment (which includes basic diagnotics and x-rays) to discuss your dental treatment options. At this initial meeting we will gather any information required to plan your treatment and give you the opportunity to ask any questions. Our Patient Care Consultant will help you to make well informed decisions about your treatment and will manage your treatment plan every step of the way.
Dental treatments can be daunting for many people, so having a complimentary Oral Healthcare Assessment can also help you enjoy a more relaxed and informed approach to any treatment you may need.
Nervous Patients
Do you feel nervous whenever you visit the dentist, or even avoid the dentist due to fear? Don’t worry – we understand. Whatever your concerns are, please do let us know about them. We will take the time to talk with you, to understand and address your concerns. If you prefer, we can do this in a non-dental environment.
Emergencies
If you have had an accident, have a broken filling or toothache, please contact the practice as soon as possible so that we can arrange a same day emergency dental appointment for you.
We have allocated set times for emergency treatment, kindly ring us for emergency appointment enquiries.
We aim to minimise waiting time for emergency patients, but we respectfully ask patients to be aware that in some cases there may be an unavoidable delay.
Outside surgery hours patients may ring the usual practice number and a recorded message will advise you as to the number of the Duty Dentist on call. If you are elderly or housebound we may be able to arrange a home visit.
